MR. PSYC — CANCELLATION POLICY
Version 1.1 — Effective 5 November 2025 Contact: info@mrpsyc.in | +91 82955 45210
CANCELLATION POLICY
This Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) constitutes a legally binding agreement between Mr. Psyc (operated by its parent entity) (“Company”, “We”, “Us”, “Our”) and the User (“You”, “Your”, “Client”, “Participant”). This Policy establishes the rules, procedures, and obligations governing cancellation of counselling sessions, psychiatric consultations, digital screening assessments, subscription-based programs, nurturing plans, institutional bookings, corporate workshops, LMS training courses, and any other services provided by the Company. By accessing, booking, or purchasing any service, You affirm that You have read, understood, and agreed to the terms herein. This Policy is drafted in accordance with applicable Indian law and is intended to protect the operational integrity, clinical obligations, and professional commitments associated with mental-health service delivery. The User acknowledges unequivocally that mental-health services, including counselling and psychiatric interventions, are time-sensitive engagements that require dedicated professional allocation. The Company assigns counsellors, psychologists, psychiatrists, facilitators, or instructors for specific time slots, and such professionals reserve those slots solely for the User. Any late cancellation or failure to attend a session not only adversely impacts service efficiency but also deprives other Users in need of timely psychological support. Accordingly, the Company enforces a structured and strict cancellation framework, designed to balance User flexibility with the professional, clinical, and operational obligations inherent to the domain of mental health. The User further acknowledges that certain services—such as screening assessments, digital programs, downloadable content, automated nurturing journeys, and LMS-based educational courses—are non-returnable, non-exchangeable, and non-reversible once initiated. These services involve irreversible processing, intellectual property deployment, professional review, or consumption of digital resources that cannot be restored, returned, or reassigned. In this regard, the User expressly agrees that any request for cancellation shall be governed solely by the provisions set out in this Policy, and that no verbal promises, informal assurances, or inconsistent statements from any staff member, counsellor, or agent shall override these written terms. The Company reserves the right to modify this Policy at its discretion and may refuse cancellations that violate the established rules.
1. COUNSELLING SESSION CANCELLATIONS
A counselling session—whether individual, couple, family, adolescent, behavioural, or supportive—may be cancelled by the User only in the manner permitted herein. A session cancelled at least twelve (12) hours prior to the scheduled appointment time shall be considered a valid cancellation without penalty. Any cancellation made within twelve (12) hours but before four (4) hours of the scheduled session shall attract a 50% cancellation charge, and such charge shall be non-negotiable. Cancellations made within four (4) hours of the appointment time, or failure to attend the session (“no-show”), shall incur a 100% charge, with the session being deemed fully consumed. For multi-session packages (8-week, 12-week, bundle plans, or any packaged counselling offering), a cancellation falling within a penalty window shall result in the session being deducted from the User’s package, regardless of attendance. The User understands and agrees that packaged services offer preferential pricing contingent on commitment, and therefore any penalty arising from late cancellation shall not be refundable, extendable, or replaceable. The Company shall not be liable for cancellations arising from User-side technical difficulties, including but not limited to internet instability, device malfunction, outdated software, or inability to log in. Unless the User provides verifiable proof of a technical failure and notifies the Company within ten (10) minutes of session start time, such instances shall be treated as a no-show.
2. PSYCHIATRIC CONSULTATION CANCELLATIONS
Psychiatric appointments require enhanced preparation, review of prior records, and clinical readiness; therefore, the cancellation terms are stricter. A psychiatric consultation may be cancelled without penalty only if the cancellation request is submitted at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled time. Cancellations made between 24 and 12 hours shall result in a 50% fee charge. Cancellations made within 12 hours, or failure to attend the consultation, shall result in a 100% cancellation fee, regardless of the reason provided. If the psychiatrist has already reviewed documents, screening results, reports, therapy notes, or medical histories prior to the consultation, the Company reserves the right to impose full charges even if the User attempts to cancel earlier than 24 hours. This is because professional preparation constitutes a billable clinical service.
3. DIGITAL SCREENINGS AND ASSESSMENTS
Digital screenings—including mental-health screening, anxiety indexes, burnout evaluation, addiction scoring, adolescent assessments, workplace wellness assessments, and any scientifically-structured questionnaires—are strictly non-cancellable and non-refundable once initiated. This includes any instance where the User has opened the assessment link, viewed the questionnaire, or initiated the test, irrespective of completion. If the User mistakenly purchases a screening and has not initiated it in any capacity, they may request cancellation within thirty (30) minutes of purchase. The Company may, at its discretion, grant a refund, provided the assessment was unquestionably unused.
4. SUBSCRIPTION AND MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATIONS
Monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time; however, cancellation does not entitle the User to a refund for the current billing period. Access shall continue until the end of the cycle. Quarterly and annual plans may be cancelled within seven (7) days of purchase, provided no sessions have been used. If sessions were used, the refund shall be prorated based on the standard non-discounted per-session rate, not the reduced package rate. After seven (7) days, no refund shall be allowed for long-term plans. If auto-renewal is active, it is the User’s responsibility to disable renewal at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to billing. Renewed charges are non-refundable.
5. DIGITAL PROGRAMS, NURTURING PLANS, AND BEHAVIOURAL MODULES
Digital programs—including Digital Detox, Anxiety Programs, Depression Support Plans, Sleep & Stress Programs, Parenting Courses, Corporate Wellbeing Modules, and Behavioural Habit-Building Plans—constitute intellectual property delivered instantly upon access. Therefore:
  • If the User has accessed any content, commenced any module, opened any lesson, or received any AI-based nurturing messages, the program becomes non-refundable and non-cancellable.
  • If the User has purchased but not accessed any content, they may request cancellation within forty-eight (48) hours, which the Company may approve at its discretion.
  • After 48 hours, the Company may allow a 50% refund only if absolutely no content or features were accessed.
6. CORPORATE, SCHOOL, AND INSTITUTIONAL CANCELLATION TERMS
Institutional engagements operate under separate commercial, legal, and operational considerations. Any corporate workshop, school program, institutional screening, bulk session booking, or organizational wellbeing contract is subject to the following terms: A cancellation submitted more than seven (7) days prior to the scheduled event shall be eligible for a full refund. Cancellations submitted between seven (7) and three (3) days prior shall result in a 50% refund. Cancellations submitted within seventy-two (72) hours of the scheduled date shall be non-refundable without exception, as professionals and logistics are pre-allocated. Institutional retainers with monthly billing cycles require a thirty (30) day prior written notice for cancellation. Fees for months already billed, in progress, or partially consumed are strictly non-refundable. Screening credits purchased in bulk are non-returnable; however, unused credits may be reassigned to another batch within ninety (90) days, subject to administrative approval.
7. NO-SHOW POLICY AND CONSEQUENCES
A no-show occurs when the User does not join a session within the first fifteen (15) minutes of the scheduled time or is unreachable. No-shows incur a 100% charge and are deemed consumed sessions. Repeated no-shows (two or more) may result in:
  • account restrictions,
  • mandatory pre-payment for future bookings,
  • denial of special pricing or promotional credits,
  • suspension of certain services.
No-shows for psychiatric consultations shall be flagged as high-risk events, and the Company may initiate welfare checks or restrict cancellations.
8. COMPANY-INITIATED CANCELLATIONS
If a counsellor, psychiatrist, or facilitator must cancel due to emergency, illness, or operational disruptions, the Company shall offer priority rescheduling within forty-eight (48) hours. If the User declines rescheduling, a full refund for the specific session shall be granted. If the Company cancels a subscription-based session, a compensatory session or extension may be provided at the Company’s discretion.
9. CANCELLATIONS DUE TO TECHNICAL OR OPERATIONAL FAILURES
If the Company experiences server outages, platform malfunction, or counsellor-side technical issues, the affected session shall be rescheduled without penalty or refunded fully. If the User’s own device failures, connectivity issues, or environmental disruptions prevent session participation, the cancellation shall be treated as a User-initiated late cancellation or a no-show, unless verifiable evidence of uncontrollable circumstances is submitted and accepted.
10. FRAUD PREVENTION AND MISUSE
The Company may deny cancellation or refund requests where misuse is suspected, including but not limited to:
  • repeated cancellations without cause,
  • fake bookings,
  • fraudulent identity details,
  • abusive behaviour toward professionals,
  • misuse of coupons, credits, or discounts,
  • attempts to exploit the cancellation system.
The Company’s decision shall be final.
11. EMERGENCY CANCELLATIONS
In cases of major medical emergencies, accidents, or force majeure events, the Company may, at its sole discretion, waive cancellation charges if validated documentation is provided.
12. NO RIGHT TO REVERSAL AFTER SERVICE DELIVERED
Once a counselling or psychiatric service has been delivered—either partially or fully—the User has no right to cancellation, reversal, or refund. Professional time is consumed at the moment engagement begins.
13. EFFECT OF CANCELLATION ON ACCOUNT STATUS
A cancelled service shall not entitle the User to additional time, carryover benefits, or substitute services unless explicitly stated. Packages cannot be partially cancelled; subscription cancellation does not void existing usage limits.
14. MODIFICATIONS TO THIS POLICY
The Company may amend this Policy at its discretion. Continued use of services after updates constitutes acceptance.
15. CONTACT FOR ALL CANCELLATION REQUESTS
All cancellation, rescheduling, or refund inquiries shall be submitted exclusively to: Email: info@mrpsyc.in Phone: +91 82955 45210 Verbal or informal messages to counsellors or staff shall not constitute valid notice.
